Refund Overview

Clear refund rules for eligible hosting services

This page explains the refund windows, service exclusions, cancellation steps, and billing rules that apply to HostMyCode orders.

Quick summary

  • Some shared hosting-style services may qualify for a refund if you cancel within the stated window.
  • VPS, dedicated servers, domains, and many one-time services are generally non-refundable.
  • Use the official cancellation workflow before the renewal date or refund window ends.
01

Standard refund terms

If a service qualifies for a refund under this policy, HostMyCode may issue a full refund within the stated time limits.

For services billed for one year or longer, a full refund may be available if the cancellation request is submitted within 30 days of the transaction date.

For services billed for less than one year, a full refund may be available only if the request is submitted within 48 hours of the transaction date.

The transaction date means the date a service is first purchased or the date a renewal charge is processed.

Refund use is limited. HostMyCode may decline repeated refund requests for the same or materially similar service.

02

Products eligible for refund

Products that may qualify for refund review under the standard terms include Shared Web Hosting, WordPress Hosting, CodeGuard Backup, VPN services, and Offshore Hosting where refund eligibility is clearly stated.

Final eligibility still depends on the exact service, the billing term chosen, and whether the request arrives inside the refund window.

03

Products not eligible for refund

The following services are generally non-refundable: cloud servers, VPS, dedicated servers, domain registrations and renewals, domain transfer fees, premium domains, domain privacy, SSL certificates, security products, managed services, migration services, professional services, installation fees, and similar one-time or third-party fulfilled items.

Additional non-refundable items may include Google Workspace, G Suite, Microsoft Office 365, redemption fees, transfers, and other products clearly marked as non-refundable at checkout.

If an order contains both refundable and non-refundable items, any approved refund is calculated after deducting the excluded charges.

04

Domains and free domain inclusions

All domain registrations, renewals, transfers, and related domain fees are final once processed. Customers should check domain spelling, extension, ownership data, and order details before checkout.

If a hosting plan includes a free domain and the hosting plan is later cancelled, the standard retail price of the domain may be deducted from an otherwise eligible refund.

IP allocations are not covered by a general refund or exchange right. HostMyCode may change IPs only for operational, security, abuse, or routing reasons.

05

Money-back guarantee and first-term limitation

HostMyCode may offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on selected hosting services. This guarantee applies only to qualifying services, only to the initial term, and only where the refund request is submitted through the proper cancellation channel.

The money-back guarantee does not apply to renewals, non-refundable add-ons, domain-related charges, dedicated servers, VPS services, or any product clearly excluded under this policy.

Refund review may also be limited to first-time accounts or first-time service purchases where such limitation is stated for the relevant offer.

A refund request does not create any right to replacement IPs, fresh IP allocation, or service re-issuance after cancellation. If a refund is approved and the service is terminated, any IP assignment tied to that service ends with the cancelled service.

06

Renewals, billing continuation, and customer responsibility

Services may renew automatically to reduce the risk of service interruption. Customers are responsible for reviewing renewal notices, billing settings, and cancellation timing in their account.

If you do not want a service to renew, you must cancel it before the renewal date through the appropriate account or billing workflow. Once a renewal is processed, refund eligibility depends on the service type and the rules in this policy.

A cancellation request stops future billing only as of the effective cancellation date and does not automatically reverse charges that have already been processed.

07

Cancellation process and refund handling

Services must be cancelled through the official cancellation workflow in your HostMyCode dashboard or through another approved written support process where applicable.

Dashboard-based cancellation helps verify account ownership, confirms the request in writing, and reduces the risk of error or unauthorized account changes.

If your cancellation is processed successfully, you should receive a confirmation message or email. If confirmation is not received, you should contact billing or support promptly.

Where a refund is approved, processing time may vary based on the payment method, order composition, and internal review requirements. In general, approved refunds are processed after cancellation review and any required deductions for non-refundable components.

08

Policy changes and interpretation

HostMyCode may revise this Refund Policy at any time by publishing an updated version on its website. The version in effect at the time of order or renewal generally applies unless otherwise required by law or expressly stated by HostMyCode.

HostMyCode reserves the right to interpret refund eligibility, apply exclusions, verify account status, and decline refund requests that fall outside the stated refund windows or violate applicable service terms.
